Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals working in the security industry. There are 4 possible pathways that learners can follow: general, CCTV, static and patrol guarding and door supervision. It forms the competency component of the Apprenticeship in Providing Security Services.
How long will it take?
The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 220-hours, and of this, 139-hours are recommended as guided learning (GL).
These include communicate effectively with others, control security incidents, portray a positive personal image, reducing the risks to health and safety at work, searches of people and their property, searches of vehicles for unauthorised items, control entry to and egress from premises and deal with disorderly and aggressive behaviour.
This qualification can be assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
